Unity of Rehoboth Beach Prayer Chaplain Ministry

Our Prayer Chaplain Team is now accepting new members!

Please talk to Cate about your desire to be on the Unity of Rehoboth Prayer Team.

What is a Prayer Chaplain?

A Prayer Chaplain acknowledges and calls upon the presence of God.

A Prayer Chaplain lovingly listens.

A Prayer Chaplain prays from the heart.

A Prayer Chaplain holds in confidence what is shared.

Prayer, our own and with others, deepens our trust in God and facilitates our ability to let go and let God be active in all lives. Everyone can learn to listen with their hearts instead of their heads.

Unity was founded on the idea that prayer works! Prayer is an effective tool for communicating with Divine Source based on a harmonious relationship between God and Humanity.

“Sometimes we pray to a God outside of ourselves. It is the God in the midst of us that frees and heals.”

I retired in 2015, after being an RN for 37 years. To me, being a Prayer Chaplain for Unity of Rehoboth Beach is the next step in my life’s mission to help people heal: physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

I was first introduced to ” New Thought” teachings by Louise Hay and “Seth” back in the Eighties.

And then to the older Science of Mind and Unity teachers: Emerson, Fillmore, Allen, Holmes. I have studied Reiki, Shiatsu and Theta Healing, and am a “firewalker”. (Twice.) I also am a member of Mensa, and the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. I have a BA in English from the University of Delaware.

I moved to the Long Neck area from Collingswood, NJ in August, 2015. I live with my 3 fur kids: MacGregor, Josie (aka Tator tot), and Sweetie.
